Chiefs fans! Join the Chiefs Women's Organization, Farmland and Harvesters inthe fight against hunger. Bring your non-perishable food items to the Chiefs vs Browns game on Sunday, October 27th and help feed Kansas Citians in need this holiday season! During pre-game, volunteers will be stationed at each stadium gate collecting your non-perishables food items. · The Chiefs Women’s Organization, Farmland and Harvesters are helping in the fight against hunger this season. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the Chiefs vs. Cleveland game on Sunday, October 27th to help feed Kansas Citians in need this holiday season.
· During pre-game, volunteers will be stationed at each stadium gate collecting non-perishable food items. The goal of the drive is to collect 50,000 meals. 1.2 lbs of food = one meal. $1.00 donation = 5 meals.
· Suggested Food donations at game:
o Canned vegetables
o Canned fruit
o Boxed meals – (Hamburger Helper, Pasta Roni)
o Canned Meat/Tuna
o Peanut Butter
o Canned Soup
o Cereal – hot and cold
· Harvesters network provides food assistance to as many as 66,000 different people each week. The network covers 26 counties in northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas, covering 16,441 square miles.
